Why we use essential oils…

We began using essential oils for two main reasons:

#1 – A Cleaner Lifestyle
Having dealt with infertility for years, we began researching what might be the root cause of our infertility issues and how we could help solve those issues. Over the years we have learned about ways we can support wellness in our bodies through eating more wholesome foods, and by supporting overall wellness in our bodies using essential oils, non-toxic products, and quality supplements.

#2 – To Help Create A Calmer Environment
With a young child in our home who deals daily with sensory overload, we have seen him have HUGE emotional and behavioral struggles that are tied directly to this. Again, in our deep research of how to best help our son, we found multiple tips and helpful recommendations for creating a calmer and appropriately stimulating environment for him. Aromatherapy and the use of therapeutic grade essential oils topically are a daily go-to for us to help support healthy emotions with our son.

Quality Matters – Why Young Living?

You can buy essential oils from almost anywhere – including your local grocery store, Amazon, and anywhere in between. So why Young Living? There are a lot of essential oil companies to choose from, but for my family, I choose Young Living because they offer the highest quality, therapeutic grade, unadulterated essential oils. They offer an extensive line of essential oil and essential oil infused products. Pure, therapeutic grade essential oils will be more valuable because they are not pre-diluted with a carrier oil or synthetic, chemical laden oils. There are inexpensive essential oils available on the market, but they may be cheaper in more ways than just in their price. They either contain a small amount of essential oil (that can legally be labeled as pure) or the oil is a lower quality, lower grade oil. Adulterating oils with unlabeled carrier oils is almost the norm among cheaper brands. Although they may seem like a great deal, you will not get the constituent benefits or therapeutic grade when using cut-rate oils. I even stay away from “Young Living” essential oils sold on Amazon, because again, adulteration. I know when I purchase directly from Young Living’s website, I am getting the high quality oils I am paying for.

A true essential oil is the lifeblood of the plant and contain chemical constituents that have the ability to support, improve, repair, renew and restore our bodies. Chemical constituents are very sensitive and can generally only be extracted through low heat and pressure. Ramping up the heat, pressure, or extracting with solvents will pull more oil out of the plant giving greater volume, but at the cost of killing the molecules that work in our body therapeutically. One of the many reasons I love Young Living is that they are extremely careful about planting, growing, harvesting and distilling their plants to create essential oils that are truly therapeutic, tested with the highest standards. My family uses and recommends only Young Living! They are the only company that farms and distills their own oils themselves.
